Matching Ties is a professional, in Germany-based Irish and British folk, bluegrass, newgrass, acoustic country, blues and swing group which can be heard as a duo, or in line-ups from trio to sextet. With international members from the U.S.A., England, Ireland and Germany, this group has performed an average 120 times a year since 1986 at every imaginable event all around Europe and in the U.S. The core of the band is the duo, which expands to line-ups from trio to sextet with some of the best multi-instrumentalists in the European scene on stringed instruments, flutes, pipes and percussions; all of them excellent singers and entertainers as well. It’s authentic, it’s virtuous, it’s fun!
