Mozambican singer Stewart Sukuma is one of the best performers of the African pop scene. He combines African and Brazilian rhythms and sings in English, Portuguese and several African languages. His music is deeply rooted in the traditional culture of Mozambique, where he developed an invigorating and expressive style of his own.

Stewart Sukuma became the first Mozambican to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2005 he was nominated at the African Music Video Awards (The African version of the Grammys) in the category Best Male Video.
