Brencl Banda is strongly influenced by folk traditions from all around the world and imbued with Slavic soul. The group was formed in a town with rich musical tradition and members of Brencl banda love to sing about their home – the hills, the wine, the people. Their whole music is a homage to their roots and Brencl – the place where they grew up.

Their new album Zemljin ples (Earth Dance) is a story grown from the roots implanted into the images of our common past. Just like something that haunts us, but still remains so sweet we cannot forget it once we have heard it. With its gentle rough whirlwind of sounds it jerks the floor from under our feet and elevates us to the sensual times floating somewhere between the earth and the sky, the infinite home of freedom. It is a completely original sound that the band created, although they perform with the usual musical instruments and vocals. Their Slavic wings carry them around the musical world of different traditions, through their beats and melodies jointly singing about happiness, sadness, and timelessness.
