Lent means lenting

This year, we put a lot of thought, energy, creativity and work into promoting Festival Lent. Our aim was, of course, getting great results.

You can read about the feedback from our visitors in the article: Lent from the visitors’ eye view. But first, here are some highlights of this year’s festival:

- Jimmy Cliff set an absolute record by filling both stands – no wonder the Main Stage on the Drava river was packed

- Trilok Gurtu Band and Black Stone Raiders, Jazzlent concerts with extra entrance fee, were sold out

- we are proud to see that our comedy The open couple was listed as top four most visited comedies, along with the “classic” Time for a change, Gajaš, prisoner and Matjaž Javšnik & Improvokatorji

- our festival website had 35 % higher visit rate this year: between June 10th and July 10th the site had 146.289 visitors and 964.601 page views (32 % more than last year) as well as 50 % new visitors

- the number of Facebook fans almost doubled: we had 10.386 fans (6. 165 fans last year) and about 4.000 daily users and Facebook visitors during the festival

- from June to July, we posted more than 100 articles on our website

- festival TV Lentv published more than 90 contributions (360 minutes total), which received more than 5.000 views via our website and via YouTube (300 views/day)

- from June 18th to July 10th, 1.653 users downloaded our mobile app

We strive towards a more attractive and interesting program for next year’s festival, when Maribor will be the European Capital of Culture. Keep updated by visiting our website.
